Students are expected to actively participate in shaping their experience at Warren Wilson. In 1998, when students learned of the plans for the new dorm, they established a committee to meet with the project team and set sustainability goals. Read more
The Union South building, a new student union for the University of Wisconsin at Madison, will replace the former student union, built in 1971 on the same site. Much of the impetus for the project’s ambitious sustainability goals came from the students, who were highly involved in the design process from the very beginning. Read more
The North Charleston Elementary School replaced an old school building which had occupied the same site for over eighty years. Many city residents were initially opposed to the idea of constructing a new building because the old one had been associated with fond memories. Read more
